Happy Halloweek! As we reach the home stretch, our half-assed virtual Halloween party continues… HorrorGirl Problems presents more real life supernatural tales with Marco + Erica
Here’s the Romancin Melansons’ contribution to the amazing HoVid Povid project!
Fulfilled my dream of playing Billy Butcherson and got to run around the backyard with my family and a camera like the old days. Thanks to everyone who made this scene happen, in front of the camera and behind the scenes! Some of us were never even in the same place at the same time. Make sure to check out the full fan-made film, an entire movie recreated scene by scene from teams all around the world, so cool to see everyone’s different art forms and talents : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8ZPP…
Thanks to Dani Abraham and Nicolas Wendl for putting this fun project together! So happy to have been a part of this with my family. Running around the backyard recreating one of our favorite movies of all time was such a return to the core of what I love to do. It felt like being ten years old again. And getting to share that with my nephew for the first time and seeing his interest in the process really made this experience the highlight of quarantine! Thanks to everyone for all their hard work in making this scene happen.
Check out Hovid Povid and consider donating to UNICEF this Halloween
Since 1950, UNICEF has been fund-raising on Halloween through their program, “Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF”. As the coronavirus pandemic continues to impact communities around the globe and in the United States, in lieu of candy this year, please consider donating to UNICEF as they continue to help fight the spread of COVID-19 worldwide. http://bit.ly/HovidPovidUNICEF https://www.facebook.com/hovidpovidhttps://www.instagram.com/hovidpovid

Five genre film fests are joining forces to create the superpower that is Nightstream Virtual Film Festival. This online four-day festival is the joint effort of Boston Underground, Brooklyn Horror, North Bend, Overlook and Popcorn Frights. Offering a seriously stacked lineup, including the world premiere of Sarah Paulson’s Run, conversations with Candyman director Nia DaCosta, and Mary Harron on the 20th Anniversary of American Pyscho.
Happy Autumnal Equinox! 40 days till Halloween, here’s a list of 40 days worth of spooky viewing suggestions. Naturally I had more than 40 movies so there are some double features in here. Keep in mind I said *spooky* not scary. Lots of gateway horror on here and things that personally conjure up Halloween vibes. This is not a deep cuts list, and I tried to stick to movies you could find readily available for streaming. Enjoy!
